Day
(Big Ten Red rain make up day) (9/15)
Picture make up day for the "Big 10 Red
Team" will be Saturday, September 15th at 9:40
a.m. at Veteran's Field. Please arrive 15
minutes early. The boys should wear full gear,
no helmets.
SAA Night (8/31)
SAA Night at Schaumburg High School will be held
on Friday, August 31st. We will meet
at 6:00 p.m. outside the fence in the SE corner
of the field. There is a grassy area where the players
enter and exit the school (same place as last year). Players
should report to their coaches. Coaches and
players wearing their jersey will be admitted free. Parents
wishing to stay for the game will need to pay the
regular admission fee (approximately $3 or $4).
Once assembled, we will enter the stadium through
the double gates on the visitors sideline. The
plan is to have our players form a tunnel across
the track and to the field for the Schaumburg Varsity
football team to enter the field for warm-ups. Our
players will then have the chance to watch warm-ups
from the track in-front of the scoreboard.
We will then walk the players along the track in-front
of the home stands to the north end zone. Temporary
bleachers will be placed north of the goal post
for us to watch the game. Also, all players
will receive a hot dog and drink compliments of
SHS.
At half-time, we will exit the field through the
same gates we entered. Parents should pick
up players at half-time at the drop off location!
Parents and players can return to the game
if they desire, but under parent supervision.

Septemberfest Parade (9/3)
Any player is welcome, but the emphasis is again
this year on Flag, Blue and Green. We are
to meet around 9:00 a.m. at the corner of Wise
and Roselle in the Jewel parking lot. Please make
sure to pick up your child when we reach the end
of the parade, which is around Beach and Summit.
All the boys should wear their football jerseys
and bring some candy to toss to the kids.
Homecoming
Pep Rally (9/28)
The following are our plans for the Homecoming Pep
Rally at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, September 28th, at
Veterans Park:
Evening to start
at 5:30 p.m. and end at 8:00 p.m.
Each team is responsible for there own dinner plans
so if I can get a donation of $5 per family I will
purchase pizza's for everyone (Green
Team & Red
Team). We still need soda's and assorted snacks,
can I get some volunteers? Please RSVP with what
you can bring. Each level will have an assigned
area and I will let you know shortly what that is.
Bring your own chairs because I'm not sure if we
will be able to get any picnic tables.
NO ALCOHOL!!!!! The ramifications of violating this
policy can include your dismissal from SAA. It is
simply NOT worth it!
A DJ will be there for everyone's entertainment.
NO ONE will be allowed North of the softball diamonds
after dusk!!!

Homecoming Day (9/29)
Before our game starts I will have all the mom's
line up on the 50 yard line and the boys will be
lined up in the end zone. A DJ will announce their
name and they will run through a banner, grab a
rose or carnation and give it to their mom/grandmother.
They will also hand a goody bag to a cheerleader
(that mom is holding) and a cheerleader will hand
them a goody bag. After that we clear the
field and the GAME BEGINS!
Items needed for the Homecoming festivities are
as follows:

End of the Season Party for the "Big

For the Big 10 Green Team we will be having our

End of the Season Party for the "Big
10 Red Team" (11/19/07)

Monday, November 19th from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. at
Fox Run
Golf Links located at 333 Plum Grove Road in
Elk Grove. Entrees will include Italian beef,
fried chicken, baked mostaccioli and the side dishes
will include tossed salad, potato salad, garlic/french
bread and cake/cookies for dessert. There
will be refreshments for everyone (liquor not included)
and the bar will be available for the adults. The
boys and coaches will be covered. Cost is
$15 per adult and $10 per child, please email me
to let me know how many you will have coming.
Slush Fund
A Slush Fund has been found to be an inexpensive
way to collect money for the end of season party
as well as funding gifts for the boys. I would
like to ask each family to donate $5.00 per game
for this, you can pay per game or all at once if
you like. We have a total of ten games that
will be scheduled. That will give us a collection
of $50 per player, that will cover their gift and
some of the end of the season party.
Sponsors
We also willl need SPONSORS (sponsor
form) for the team. Every team is required
to get 2 sponsors (at $150 each), anything above
that we will split 1/2 with SAA and the other 1/2
will go directly to our team for the end of the
year party.
Birth Certificate & Medical Form
All players need to provide a copy of their birth
certificate as well as a signed Medical
Release form before being allowed to play in
any games.
